Cait is having a rough day, today. We saw her for about an hour today, and are still amazed she is here. She is having a blood transfusion today. The NICU doctors and nurses are very supportive and seem like extended family. Cait will have another brain ultrasound tomorrow morning to monitor the bleeding in her brain. Right now the brain hemorrhage is at a Level 1, being minimal with Level 4 being severe. The first 72-hours are critical for hemorrhaging and hopefully the ultrasound in the morning will show no increase in blood.I guess this is life in the NICU, ups and downs, good days and bad days. That said, we still believe that any day with little Cait is a great day that we have been blessed to have with her.
Go, Baby Cait, fight hard! You were the big news at church today, so everyone knows you are here are praying for you!
ReplyDeleteCaitlyn (Cait) is such a beautiful name for such a beautiful baby. Wow! Look at that hair!! Can Kaja borrow some? I can't believe she actually has little locks! We're thinking of you and appreciate the updates and pictures of this little babe.
